About Me

My journey into the computer world started when I took a simple hardware course back in my home country Nepal. Ever since that time, I have always wanted to work with computers. I'm passionate about learning new tools and applying what I learn back into my work.

I have a B.S. in Geographic Information Science from Ohio State University. During my time there, I also took some programming classes and got a basic understanding of two programming languages (Java and Python). In fact, the experience from those programming classes is what sparked my interest in software development and motivated me to enroll in the We Can Code IT boot camp.

I love watching anime, playing volleyball and soccer, riding motorcycles, and spending time with my friends in general. I love meeting new people and making friends so please feel free to reach out and say hello!.

Nationwide Insurance, Columbus, OH (05/2019 - 09/2019) Customer Service Representative Summer Intern
  • Front-line customer support to address all aspects of insurance policy.
  • Entered communication details in System of Records of Nationwide Insurance after each call with customers.
  • Handled 45+ customer calls per shift and followed up with customers on the policy changes to their accounts.

    • Kingswood Data Center, Columbus, OH (11/2017 - 05/2018) Computer Repairs and Imager Summer Intern
  • Responsible for locating and sorting devices to be configured and intalling/updating operating systems.
  • Responsible for imaging school software into Chromebooks and desktops.
  • Debugged and fixed hardware and software related issues within the school districts.

    • Bhutanese American Student Organization (BASO), Columbus, OH (08/2016 - Present) (Volunteer) A Bhutanese Student Organization formed by Bhutanese Students studying at The Ohio State University.
  • Help high school students research and apply for colleges and scholarships.
  • Help non-English speakers of the community with registration and voting in elections
  • Conduct weekly homework help as well as a college information session for graduating high school seniors.
  • Organize events to celebrate and embrace Bhutanese Nepalese culture throughout the year.
